What should I wear to Pilates?

Loose-fitting clothing is recommended for pilates classes. However, we avdise trying to avoid baggy clothes as they may be uncomfortable for certain positions. Shoes are not worn and all mats and required equipment will be provided for you in our studio. 

What shall I expect to happen during a Pilates fitness class?

Each pilates session will begin with a warm-up to get you centred. The teacher will then take you through a series of adaptable pilates sequences that will help you gain strength and stability in your core, whilst also facilitating a full body unwind and relaxation post-session.

Do I need to be fit to attend a Pilates class?

Absolutely not. Pilates is a highly adaptable form of exercise aimed at all ages, shapes, sizes, and genders. Our qualified pilates instructors will tailor exercises to your level of ability so that you get the most out of each class. 

Before joining a class you will need to have a 1-1 session with the pilates instructor who will teach you the basics, otherwise you’ll struggle to follow the class.
