You may feel like every day is ‘Groundhog Day’ day when you’re either plagued by pain or have no pain at all – only for it to return a few days or weeks later. When the body is imbalanced, out of alignment, overworked and/or riddled with trigger points it makes a lot of noise! Ignoring the signs and symptoms of a musculoskeletal problem leads to frustration and low mood – after a few pain-free days you thought it had gone away right? Now it’s back.

The problems you have right now…

Having days or weeks where you can’t get moving because of your problem has a cumulative effect of making the body more and more tense, restricted and painful; a state that is unfortunately very common. Work becomes difficult as you never know how you are going to be from one day to the next. You will understandably commit to work and leisure activities when you are feeling good, only to be forced to cancel when you have a flare-up. Family life feels stressful and sometimes intolerable which it never used to. Life may be plagued by the following:

  • Short periods of intense pain which spontaneously resolve and is followed by weeks or months of feeling great
  • Short period of intense pain which goes away overnight and is followed by days of feeling great, only for things to go back to square one within a few days
  • Between 1-2 weeks of intense pain which gradually resolves only to return a year or so later
  • Feeling like you just have to ‘live with it’

The ‘Get off the hamster wheel of constant body breakdowns’ course will start with a consultation to understand where you are now and what you would like to achieve. Each 30-minute session (excluding the initial consultation) will include a treatment specifically tailored to your needs.

Before starting the course of treatment I will take a detailed history (hands off assessment) of your problem(s), to identify what may have contributed to the problem in some way, and feel what your body is saying (hands-on assessment). It is impossible to prevent recurrence if we don’t know the cause or aggravating factors.
