I have always had a keen interest in sport, health, fitness and rehabilitation, and recently completed a Masters degree in Rehabilitation Science, which allows me to practice as a Chartered Physiotherapist. My professional interest in pain types / pain management is ongoing and I will soon start my PhD focussing on these areas. I have a wealth of experience in physiotherapy including two years at the Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust.
My expertise in sports massage has been developed through working in the U.S.A at the University of California Davis Medical group, and more recently at Harlequins Rugby League club in the UK, as a Sports Massage Therapist. In addition to this, I have worked in Personal Training for many years; this has included coaching and training children through to adults, and I have worked closely with GB Paralympic athletes.
Since graduating I have concentrated more specifically on musculoskeletal physiotherapy and have worked for Physio&Therapy for over a year. The combination of academic achievements, plus my lengthy employment experience and sporting interests provide me with a wealth of knowledge in Physiotherapy, Sports Massage and Personal training.
Sports/Interests: I have always had a huge interest in sport and have competed at various levels from local club recreational to national level in cricket, football and karate. Currently, I am in training for ultra marathons and plan on entering events such as the North Pole marathon, the 160 mile Trans Britain marathon and the 150 mile Marathon Des sable - commonly labelled as 'the toughest footrace on earth'! Any other spare time I have is spent listening to music and cooking.
